Details

Legislative power means a power to make laws. A legislature is a governmental deliberative body with the power to adopt laws. Legislatures are known by many names, including: parliament, congress, diet and national assembly, etc. from country to country.

There is no dispute that the legislature got power to make a law retrospectively and also to validate actions retrospectively. Retrospective validation may also be conferred upon an Act notwithstanding anything contained in any judicial decision. [Mofizur Rahman Khan vs. Bangladesh (1982) 34 DLR (AD) 322]
