Details | A person shall be deemed to be a deserter if he without authority has been absent from duty for a period of sixty days and has not subsequently surrendered or been apprehended. [See section 166 (1), the Army Act, 1952 (Act No. XXXIX of 1952)]. A person shall be deemed to be a deserter if he without authority has been absent from duty for a period of thirty days and has not subsequently surrendered or been apprehended. [See section 176 (1), the Navy Ordinance, 1961 (Ordinance No. XXXV of 1961)]. [See section 201(1), the Air Force Act, 1953 (Act No. VI of 1953)]. |
