Details | 'establishment,' where not otherwise specified, means a shop, a commercial establishment, or an industrial establishment. [See, section 2 (h), the Shops and Establishments Act, 1965 (East Pakistan Act, 1965 (Act No. VII of 1965)] [Now stands repealed] "establishment" means any office, firm, industrial unit, transport vehicle, undertaking, shop or premises in which workmen are employed for the purpose of carrying on any industry: Provided that each class of transport vehicles, such as, "truck/tank lorry", "bus/minibus", "taxi" and "baby taxi/tempo" operating in the region of Transport Committee shall be deemed to be an establishment for the purpose of registration of Trade Union of workmen employed in such transport vehicles. [See, section 2 (ix), the Industrial Relations Ordinance, 1969 (Ordinance No. XXIII of 1969)] [Now stands repealed] |
