Details

'establishment,' where not otherwise specified, means a shop, a commercial establishment, or an industrial establishment.

"establishment" means any office, firm, industrial unit, transport vehicle, undertaking, shop or premises in which workmen are employed for the purpose of carrying on any industry: Provided that each class of transport vehicles, such as, "truck/tank lorry", "bus/minibus", "taxi" and "baby taxi/tempo" operating in the region of Transport Committee shall be deemed to be an establishment for the purpose of registration of Trade Union of workmen employed in such transport vehicles.
