Details | 'factory’ means any premises including the precincts thereof whereon ten or more workers are working or were working on any day of the preceding twelve months and in any part of which a manufacturing process is being carried on with or without the aid of power but does not include a mine subject to the operation of the Mines Act, 1923 (IV of 1923). [See, section 2 (f), the Factories Act, 1956 (East Pakistan Act No. IV of 1965)] [Now stands repealed]. "Factory" means a factory as defined in clause (f) of section 2 of the Factories Act, 1965 (East Pakistan Act No. IV of 1965), and includes any place deemed to be a factory under sub-section (3) of section 3 thereof. [See, section 2 (5), the Minimum Wages Ordinance, 1961 (Ordinance No. XXXIX of 1961)] [Now stands repealed]. "Factory" means any premises, including the precincts thereof, wherein or in any part of which excisable goods other than salt are manufactured/or wherein or in any part of which any manufacturing process connected with the production of these goods is being carried on or is ordinarily carried on. [See, section 2 (5), the Excises and Salt Act,1944 (Act No. I of 1944)]. "Factory" means any premises (including the precincts thereof) wherein twenty or more workers are working or were working on any day of the preceding twelve months and in any part of which any manufacturing process connected with the production of sugar is being carried on or is ordinarily carried on with the aid of power. [See, section 2 (2), the Sugar-cane Act,1934 (Act No. XV of 1934)]. |
