Details

A thing shall be deemed to be done in "good faith" where it is in fact done honestly, whether it is done negligently or not.

[See, section 3(20), the General Clauses Act, 1897(Act No. X of 1897)].

Nothing is said to be done or believed in "good faith" which is done or believed without due care and attention.

[See, section 52, the Penal Code, 1860 (Act No. XLV of 1860)].

"Good faith”, nothing shall be deemed to be done in good faith which is not done with due care and attention.

[See, section 2(7), the Limitation Act, 1908 (Act No. IX of 1908)].
