Details | "immoveable property" shall include land, benefits to arise out of land, and things attached to the earth, or permanently fastened to anything attached to the earth. [See, section 3 (25), the General Clauses Act, 1897 (Act No. X of 1897)]. "immoveable" property does not include standing timber, growing crops or grass. [See, section 3, the Transfer of Property Act, 1882 (Act No. IV of 1882)]. "immoveable property" includes land, buildings, benefits to arise out of land and things attached to the earth, or permanently fastened to anything attached to the earth, hereditary allowances, rights to ways, lights, ferries and fisheries but does not include— (a) Standing timber, growing crops or grass whether immediate severance thereof is intended or not; (b) fruit upon and juice in trees whether in existence or to grow in future; and (c) machinery embedded in or attached to the earth, when dealt with apart from the land. [See, section 2 (6), the Registration Act, 1908 (Act No. XVI of 1908)]. "Immoveable property" includes land, incorporeal tenements and things attached to the earth, or permanently fastened to anything which is attached to the earth. [See, section 3, the Succession Act, 1865 (Act No. X of 1865)]. [Now stands repealed by Act No. XXXIX of 1925]. "Immoveable property" shall extend to and include messuages, tenements and hereditaments, corporeal and incorporeal, of every tenure or description, whatever may be the estate 01 interest therein. [See, section 2, the Trustee Act, 1866 (Act No. XXVII of 1866)][Now stands repealed by Ordinance XXI of 1960]. "Immoveable property" includes land, buildings, hereditary allowances, rights to ways, lights; ferries, fisheries or any other benefit to arise out of land, and things attached to the earth or permanently fastened to anything which is attached to the earth but not standing timber, growing crops or grass. [See, section 2 (1), the Government Management of Private Estates Act, 1890 (Act No. X of 1890)] [Now stands repealed by Act No. VIII of 1973]. "immoveable property" includes lands and all benefits to arise out of land and things attached to the earth, or permanently fastened to anything which is attached to the earth, but does not include cops of any kind, or houses, shops or other buildings.
