Details | The word “admission” according to plain and natural meaning connotes a conscious act. It means the act of admitting someone. ( Commissioner of Income Tax, Chittagong Vs. Mst. Safiya Bai, 1978, 7 CLC (AD) [1937] ) Admission in law has a
technical meaning not to be inferred from absence of any positive statement or
infirmity in the narratives. Far less in case of written statements or
objections as those are protected, as is done, by a protective clause
containing the words, 'unless specifically admitted hereinafter every averment
made by the plaintiff shall be deemed to have been denied.' ( Aysha Begum and others Vs. Mozibur Rahman, 2010, 39 CLC (HCD) [7949] ) See also the meaning of "Admission" from Legislation Dictionary. |
