Offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947 amounts to moral turpitude. Whenever a member of the Parliament is convicted of such an offence and sentenced to imprisonment for two years or more he incurs disqualification under Article 66 and shall vacate his seat automatically under Article 67 of the Constitution and there is no necessity or requirement of examination of the same by the Election Commission…….
