Nonfeasance means the failure of an agent (i. e. employee) to perform a task one has agreed to do for his/her principal (i.e. employer), as distinguished from "misfeasance" (viz, performing poorly) or "malfeasance" (viz, performing illegally or wrongly).

Nonfeasance would apply to a case here a person omits to do some act prescribed by law. [Khairul Bashar vs. Thanu Lal AIR 1957 All 553]
