Details“Discharge” means the termination of services of a worker by the employer for reasons of physical or mental incapacity or continued ill-health of the worker or such other similar reasons not amounting to misconduct.

[See section 2 (f), the Employment of Labour (Standing Orders) Act, 1965 (East Pakistan Act No. VIII of 1965)]. [Now stands repealed]

"Discharge" shall include retirement or release. [See explanation to section 20, the Army Act, 1952 (Act No. XXXIX of 1952)].

The word "discharge" includes release. [See section 23(4), the Air Force Act, 1953 (Act No. VI of 1953)].
