Details"Court" means any court of law including Supreme Court.

[See article 152 (1), the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, 1972].

"Court" includes all Judges and Magistrates and all persons, except arbitrators, legally authorized to take evidence.

"Court" means the High Court Division or the District Court, as the case may be.

[See section 3 (4), the Divorce Act, 1869 (Act No. IV of 1869)].

In this section "Court" means (1) the High Court Division in the exercise of its ordinary or extraordinary original civil jurisdiction, (2) the Court of a District Judge within the local limits of whose jurisdiction the property or any part thereof is situate, (3) any other Court which the Government may, from time to time, by notification in the official Gazette, declare to be competent to exercise the jurisdiction conferred by this section.

"The Court" means—

(a) The District Court having jurisdiction to entertain an application under this Act for an order appointing or declaring a person to be a guardian; or

(b) where a guardian has been appointed or declared in pursuance of any such application—

(i) the Court which, or the Court of the officer who, appointed or declared the guardian or is under this Act deemed to have appointed or declared the guardian; or

(ii) in any matter relating to the person of the ward the District Court having jurisdiction in the place where the ward for the time being ordinarily resides; or

(c) in respect of any proceeding transferred under section 4A, the Court of the officer to whom such proceeding has been transferred.

The term "Court" includes a Civil, Revenue or Criminal Court, but does not include a Registrar or Sub-Registrar under the Registration Act, 1908.

"Court" means a Civil or Revenue Court.

"The Court" means the person or persons before whom a legal proceeding is held or taken.

The expression "Court" means a principal Civil Court of original jurisdiction, unless the Government has appointed (as it is hereby empowered to do) a special judicial officer within any specified local limits to perform the functions of the Court under this Act.

"Court means a Bankruptcy Court as defined in section 4(3).

"Court" means the principal Civil Court of original jurisdiction in a district, and includes the High Court Division in exercise of its original civil jurisdiction.

"The Court" means the Court having jurisdiction under this Act.

"The Court" means the Court of the District Judge or any other Court empowered in that behalf by the Government and includes the High Court Division in the exercise of its ordinary original civil jurisdiction.
