Details

"judicial proceeding" includes any proceeding in the course of which evidence is or may be legally taken on oath.

[See, section 4(m), the Criminal Procedure Code, 1898 (Act No. V of 1898)].

A trial before a Court-martial is a judicial proceeding.

[See, explanation I to section 193, the Penal Code, 1860 (Act No. XLV of 1860)].

In section 228 of the Penal Code, the words "judicial proceeding" shall be deemed to include any proceeding under this Act.
